Within two weeks of the class date, students will complete a Computer Based Training (CBT) program which instructs the user on the DOT rules and regulations in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40. This interactive CBT is delivered on-line via our website.
In the classroom portion of the training, the student will be trained on the use of the specified EBT instrument. Classroom activities include a quiz on the pre-class material and detailed hands-on lessons in the operation of the EBT instrument. These EBT lessons involve the study of the Quality Assurance Plan in addition to performing subject tests, accuracy checks and calibrations on the instrument. Students will conduct a minimum of seven tests using live subjects to meet DOT’s BAT training requirements.
Upon successful completion of the written quizzes and the required minimum seven tests, students will receive certification as Breath Alcohol Technicians and Factory Authorized Calibration Technicians.
